United States Govt. Knows Those Backing RSF In Sudan – Rubio
The United States government has intelligence on the entities funding and arming the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Sudan, Secretary of State, Marco Rubio confirmed on Wednesday.
Speaking to the press in Hamilton, Canada, where he attended the G7 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, the top diplomat stated that multiple players are involved in the lingering Sudanese crisis.
Rubio said considering what the RSF and its fighters have done in the past weeks, the paramilitary group, which recently carried out a massacre in El Fasher, must not be allowed to have manufacturing capabilities.
“Someone’s giving them the money and someone’s giving them the weapon, and it’s coming through some country,” he said. “We know who they are, and we’re going to talk to them about it.”
Secretary Rubio disclosed that America would make the backers of the RSF understand that their actions are wrong: “It’s going to reflect poorly on them, it’s going to reflect poorly on the world if we can’t stop this.”
In late October, RSF militia members killed more than 460 patients and their companions at the Saudi Maternity Hospital, the only functioning hospital in El Fasher, sparking global outrage. At least 6 health workers were kidnapped.
More than 2,500 people have been killed since the RSF took over El Fasher after a 500-day battle with the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF). The civil war, which began in April 2023, is the world’s largest humanitarian crisis.
This week, 25 European nations expressed grave concerns over the brutal acts of violence against civilians across Sudan’s North Darfur and the Kordofan region during and after the fall of El Fasher to the RSF.
The allies, in a joint statement, decried the targeting of the young and elderly, ethnically motivated mass killings, sexual assaults, starvation as a warfare weapon, and the flagrant obstruction of humanitarian access.
The United Nations, rights groups and experts have condemned the widespread barbarism and war crimes in and around El Fasher. The UN Human Rights Council will hold a special session on the situation on November 14.

Morocco Winners of AFCON 2025, Strips Senegal of Title
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced Morocco as winners of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The CAF Appeal Board ruled in favour of Morocco, declaring that Senegal forfeited the AFCON final by walking off the field during the game.
Morocco were awarded a 3–0 walkover victory.
This decision upholds Morocco’s appeal following the chaotic events in the match.
DAILY POST recalls that the Senegal team briefly walked off the pitch in protest after a controversial penalty was awarded to Morocco late in regulation time.
They were called back to the field by their captain, Sadio Mané, and later won the game 1–0.
CAF determined that this action constituted a violation of Article 84, or the equivalent regulations concerning refusal to play or abandoning the field.
Under AFCON rules, a team that refuses to continue playing or leaves the field without authorization faces elimination and forfeiture of the match.

A total of three operatives of different security agencies in Anambra State collapsed during the inauguration of Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, on Tuesday.
The incident happened during the parade at the Dr Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka.
The three operatives are one male police operative, another male operative of the Directorate of State Services (DSS) and a female operative of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC.
The police operative collapsed first, followed by the NSCDC operative, who slumped towards the end of the event and was later escorted to an ambulance, after she refused to be moved in a stretcher.
A source said the police operative was later resuscitated, but was still not stable, and was taken in an ambulance to Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku Awka.
The collapse of the service officers was attributed to fatigue and the long period of parade under harsh sunny weather.
