Fani-Kayode Request Repost from Germany to South Africa.
Former Kaduna Central senator, Shehu Sani, said on Thursday that Femi Fani-Kayode requested that he be reposted as the ambassador-designate from Germany to South Africa.
Sani said that Fani-Kayode requested the reposting for a personal reason.
DAILY POST had previously reported that President Bola Tinubu approved the reposting of Fani-Kayode from Germany to South Africa.
The ambassador-designate shared the information in a post on X following reports that his appointment had been turned down by the German government.
Fani-Kayode, who called the story irresponsible and fake, wrote: “Their story was not only irresponsible and insulting, but was completely made up based on rumors, beer talk and cheap gossip, and was meant to embarrass me, the Federal Government, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“Worse still, they gave a list of clearly crazy and unreasonable reasons for this supposed and fake “rejection” that they made up, showing how twisted their thinking is.”
Reacting, Sani wrote on X: “I know that Chief Fani-Kayode asked to change his posting from Germany to South Africa. His reason for that is just personal.”
