Job, Admission is for APC Card Carrying Member under Tinubu Administration – Lawmaker, Ojema

A member of the House of Representatives representing Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency, Ojotu Ojema, has claimed that job placements and admission opportunities under the present administration of President Bola Tinubu may largely be accessed by only card-carrying member of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Ojema, who was elected on the platform of the PDP in 2023 but defected to the APC in 2025, made the claims while speaking to members of the National Association of Agatu Students, where he advised constituents, especially youths, to formally join the ruling party by obtaining APC membership cards.

According to him, political affiliation could play a role in determining who benefits from upcoming government programmes and interventions.

He said: “The party that is good for us in Agatu, the one that will carry me along and help our people here, is All Progressives Congress.

“If you know it is not just about politics but about opportunities, get your APC card and be a member.

“Go and collect it, because tomorrow when you are looking for admission into a school, remember that the president of this country belongs to APC.

“We have 36 states plus the FCT, making 37. About 30 governors are already in APC, plus the FCT, making 31, and more are still joining. So follow APC.

“If you are not in APC and job opportunities come, nobody may consider you if your NIN is not registered with APC. You may lose the opportunity. Don’t let anybody deceive you — follow APC.”

The lawmaker also cautioned residents against being misled, urging people in his constituency to identify with the ruling party as a way of improving their chances of benefitting from government-backed initiatives and socio-economic programmes.

The development comes amid growing public outcry by Nigerians over the requirement of a National Identification Number (NIN) before registration.

Morocco Winners of AFCON 2025, Strips Senegal of Title

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced Morocco as winners of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The CAF Appeal Board ruled in favour of Morocco, declaring that Senegal forfeited the AFCON final by walking off the field during the game.

Morocco were awarded a 3–0 walkover victory.

This decision upholds Morocco’s appeal following the chaotic events in the match.

DAILY POST recalls that the Senegal team briefly walked off the pitch in protest after a controversial penalty was awarded to Morocco late in regulation time.

They were called back to the field by their captain, Sadio Mané, and later won the game 1–0.

CAF determined that this action constituted a violation of Article 84, or the equivalent regulations concerning refusal to play or abandoning the field.

Under AFCON rules, a team that refuses to continue playing or leaves the field without authorization faces elimination and forfeiture of the match.
