Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, presidential candidate, Peter Obi, is facing another petition for allegedly traveling with passengers using fake identities.

The petition, dated July 12, 2026, was submitted to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, and copied to the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Breaking News: DSS, Foreign Observers To Monitor NBA Election – Osigwe

The President of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, has said that the July 18, 2026 National Election of the association would be monitored by the Department of State Services, DSS, and foreign observers to ensure the integrity of the poll.

Osigwe said the security operatives and foreign observers are being brought on board as independent people that will give objective reports at the end of the election.

‘No Attack on NDC Meeting In Owerri’ – Party Spokesperson

The Imo State chapter of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, has debunked reports alleging that the party was attacked in Owerri during its meeting.

The party maintained that although it doesn’t condole any form of political violence, there was the need to correct what it termed gross misinformation and wrong report contained in a recent publication.
