Reactions as Senator Ned Nwoko accuses wife, Regina Daniels of drug use

Published

on

Reactions have continued to trail Senator Ned Nwoko’s outburst against his wife, Regina Daniels.

DAILY POST reports that a disturbing video clip, which emerged online on Saturday, had captured the actress in a distressed situation where she alleged domestic violence in Ned’s house.

Clearing the air on Sunday, the lawmaker in a statement he posted on his social media handles, attributed Regina’s outburst to influence of drugs and alcohol.

According to Ned, the actress needs urgent rehabilitation “or else, I fear for her life”, stressing that Regina has relocated to where she will have full access to drugs.

The lawmaker named Sammy, (a supposed brother to the actress) and one “tiny evil devil called Ann” as the supplier of the alleged drugs used by his wife.

The statement didn’t sit well with some social media users who took to their accounts to express their views.

While some backed the lawmaker’s claims, others are skeptical about it.

Here are some of the reactions as compiled by DAILY POST.

@L_victor014: “I was not going to say this but Ned Nwoko has shown how daft he is Trying to blackmail Regina Daniels and his bro Sammy for taking Drgs..

“Not taking side but if truly Regina doesn’t have an edge over him now he couldn’t have done this. If he says Gina is into drugs, I’m not going to doubt it. You know why?

@okaforu22: “My sister inlaw who’s an actress in Asaba used to tell us how Regina used to sneak into the bush to allegedly do drugs during the movie set long before she got married to Ned.

“Ned saying this now didn’t come to me as a surprise. No wonder she gave Annie 2face a shoulder to lean on”.

@TaraBlinkz: “Daniels’ drug use all along… yet stayed quiet until Regina’s actions became a problem.

“Waiting for a fight to address drug abuse? That’s a marriage failure in real-time”.

@HiikyaaTor: “Ned Nwoko coming out to say his wife Regina Daniels is battling drugs & Alcohol abuse in the public is a big low! For a woman you claim to love.

“Did you marry your Wife or Social media did? Are you trying to gain public sympathy for what has happened instead of taking full responsibility for the full package of the wife you married?”

Femi Azeez has declared his ambition to reach the Premier League after marking his Super Eagles debut with two goals against Zimbabwe in Nigeria’s 2-0 Unity Cup semi-final victory, a performance that made him the first Nigerian debutant to score twice for the senior team in 55 years, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

The 24-year-old Millwall forward, who arrived at the tournament on the back of a 19-goal-contribution season across 35 Championship appearances, has quickly identified the international stage as the springboard to the next phase of his career.

“I had a good season in the Championship and obviously, to do it on the international stage as well was just that next step up,” Azeez told Sky Sports.

“Whenever I achieve something, I’m always hungry for more. I’m never satisfied with what I’ve got. I’m always going to work towards that next level because I’m ambitious as a footballer and as a person, and I want to reach as high a level as possible.”

The winger was direct about his top-flight ambitions, saying, “The Premier League is obviously the pinnacle of football. I’d love to play in the Premier League. So obviously, working hard, I’m going to do whatever I can to get there.”

Azeez arrived in the Eagles squad having already had a strong domestic season, earning a place in the Championship Team of the Season despite Millwall narrowly missing out on automatic promotion and falling to Hull City in the play-offs. His debut brace at The Valley, Charlton’s ground in London, only sharpened a hunger that was already well established.
