Delta APC hails Tinubu for nominating Reno Omokri as ambassador-designate
President Bola Tinubu has been commended by Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for nominating Reno Omokri as an ambassador-designate.
Omeni Sobotie, APC chairman in Delta, said the nomination reflects the president’s commitment to merit, inclusion and the recognition of individuals dedicated to Nigeria’s progress.
The party said Omokri is a Delta-born technocrat and advocate whose “voice and intellectual rigour” have shaped national conversations over the years.
The APC congratulated Omokri and described the appointment as recognition of his ideas, long-standing involvement in policy discourse and international exposure.
The chapter said the nominee has consistently demonstrated the capacity to serve Nigeria at the highest level.
Delta APC said it celebrates Omokri as “a proud son of our beloved state” who has excelled with honour and integrity nationally and globally.
The party said the development shows the possibilities for Deltans who continue to excel in different fields.
It expressed confidence that Omokri will “excel in this diplomatic role” and serve as “a bridge-builder, an image-bearer of Nigeria’s potential and a worthy representative of Delta State”.
It added that Omokri’s global work in public service, advocacy, media, humanitarian causes and diplomacy positions him to promote Nigeria’s interests abroad.
The party urged Omokri to remain diligent, humble and patriotic and also asked members in the state to pray for his success.
