Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, Two-Day Power Outage Over Road Construction Works in Abuja

In a notice shared on its verified X account on Friday, the electricity distribution company stated that areas expected to be affected include Lugbe, Airport Road, Gaduwa and surrounding communities.
According to AEDC, the temporary disruption is necessary to allow the relocation of critical power infrastructure connected to the 33KV feeders H21 and H23, as well as the 11KV feeder H1A located within the Gaduwa District.
The company explained that the exercise is part of ongoing road construction projects being carried out in the public interest.
AEDC noted that electricity supply to the affected locations would remain interrupted throughout the duration of the work.
“Supply will be restored upon completion of the exercise.
“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding,” the company stated.
