Akwa Ibom Governor, Umo Eno has appointed Mrs. Elsie Peters as the state’s new Head of Service, succeeding Mr. Effiong Essien, who has retired from service.
The appointment was announced in a statement released in Uyo by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Enobong Uwah, and made available to newsmen on Monday.
In a separate development, the governor has also dismissed two of his aides with immediate effect.
The officials include Mr. Joseph Ikpak, Senior Special Assistant on Support Services, and Mr. Felix Ekuri, Special Assistant on Neighbourhood Watch.
