Kebbi Insecurity: Mother Arrested For Kidnapping Her 4-Year-Old Son Details

A four-year-old boy, Abdulmumini Surajo, has been rescued unharmed in Koko, Kebbi State, after being kidnapped by his mother, Maryam Muhammad, 25.

Abdulmumini went missing on November 26, 2025, and the father received a ransom call demanding N5 million. Police investigations traced the call to Maryam, who was promptly arrested and confessed to orchestrating the abduction.

The boy was safely rescued on November 29, 2025, in Mahuta, Fakai Local Government Area. Authorities have commended the swift police action and continue to investigate the circumstances behind the incident.
