African Democratic Congress, ADC to Flag off Nationwide Membership Registration
The African Democratic Congress, ADC, is set to officially flag off its nationwide membership registration exercise as part of efforts to strengthen its structures and expand its grassroots presence across the country.
The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, disclosed this in a post on his X handle.
According to the post the official launch date is on Thursday, February 12, 2026, 10:00am and will take place at Barcelona Hotel, Wuse 2, Abuja.
He described the exercise to be a major milestone in the consolidation of the party’s internal framework.
According to him, the registration drive marks a significant step toward deepening internal democracy and building what he described as a “people-powered movement” nationwide.
The initiative is expected to kick-start a coordinated membership mobilisation campaign across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

Electoral Act: Buba Galadima Says ‘Senate is our servants
A chieftain of the New Nigerian Peoples Party, NNPP, Buba Galadima, has challenged the Senate to always remember that they are servants sent to make laws for the good of Nigerians.
Galadima alleged that the inclusion of ‘but’ in the proposed electronic transmission of election results provides an opportunity for rigging in the 2027 general elections.
Galadima spoke on Arise Television on Thursday.
He warned the Senate against thinking that Nigerians are unintelligent, stating that
what the Senate did was trying to be wise by half.
“The Senate should know that they are out servants. We sent them to do law for the good governance of Nigeria.
“The Senate hasn’t made any amendments to the 2022 Electoral Act because they left it as it is. What the Senate did was try to be wise by half, and they thought Nigerians are as unintelligent as they are.
“We are not taking any electronic transmission bill with a ‘but’. It will rather enhance rigging. They don’t have an opinion above the opinion of the people.
“In Nigeria, 101% supports electronic transmission of election results. There’s no single person except a beneficiary of fraud that supports manual transfer of election results,” Galadima said.

2027: APC Leadership Meet to Push for Tinubu’s Second Term
Leaders of the All Progressives Party, APC, on Wednesday held a roundtable in Abuja to strengthen party unity and push for President Bola Tinubu’s second term.
Executive Chairman of the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative, PCNGi, Ismael Ahmed, convened the Progressives Strategy Roundtable at the Shehu Musa Yar’adua Centre in Abuja.
The high-level meeting brought together federal ministers, heads of key government agencies, and prominent stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, from across the country.
According to a statement released by Ahmed, the discussions focused on three core objectives: reinforcing party unity, reviewing the achievements of the current administration, and crafting strategic frameworks to ensure a successful second term for President Bola Tinubu.
A key highlight from the roundtable was the emphasis on the role of political appointees.
Ahmed stressed that every appointee serves as an ambassador of the administration, bearing responsibility both to the government and to the Nigerian people who gave it the mandate.
He warned that failing to maintain strong connections with the grassroots undermines the President’s vision and urged participants to prioritise public engagement.
“Now is the moment for us to solidify public trust through meaningful policies and strategic alignment.
“This is how we will pave the way for continued progress as we move towards the next electoral cycle,” Ahmed said.
